More space from Stena

[ August 26, 2014   //   ]

Stena Line is to add capacity between Rotterdam Europoort and Killingholme. The Stena Scotia, will operate three times weekly from 2 September, departing Killingholme at 22.00 on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and returning from Rotterdam at 17.00 on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. The Stena-owned ferry has space for 120 unaccompanied trailers and up to 12 passengers.

Route manager, Annika Hult, says: “Our two freight ships, the Stena Transit and Stena Transporter on the Hoek van Holland – Killingholme route are full on peak departures and at certain times we are unable to accommodate the growing volumes of traffic. With economic growth in the UK projected to continue, we want to be in the best place to service our customers and meet additional demand through the introduction of the Stena Scotia as a complement to our present Killingholme ships.”
