Beijing airport will be world’s biggest

China is to begin construction this year of a third Beijing airport that would be the busiest in the world, handliong around 5.5m tonnes of cargo and 130m passengers a year. The 2,680-hectare airport, 28 miles south of the capital, would have nine runways.
