Ceva offers LCL option to Dubai

[ September 27, 2012   //   ]

Dutch-owned supply chain management company Ceva Logistics has launched a less-than-container load (LCL) consolidation service from the UK to Dubai.
The weekly service will operate from Ceva’s consolidation freight station (CFS) in Tamworth, to the company’s CFS in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai in its own consolidated container. Links are also available from ten other receiving locations in the UK.
Ceva adds that with the entire process under its control, customers benefit from faster freight availability in Dubai in addition to lower cost and handling options due to the port’s location in the Free Zone.
CEVA’s global LCL director, Greg Scott, said: “The Middle East region is a growing market for CEVA especially in ocean freight.”
CEVA already operates LCL services to Dubai from Houston and New York, Hamburg and Milan with further services planned from key Asia Pacific locations in the near future.
