Updated: Delta launches year-round Edinburgh-New York route, adds Portland for summer
[ May 27, 2016 // Chris ]Delta Air Lines launched year-round flights between New York’s JFK and Edinburgh on 26 May. The route will initially be operated using a Boeing 757-200ER, with a widebody 767-300ER taking over between 8 June and 5 September, after which it will revert to a 757-200ER. Departure from Edinburgh is at 13.10, arriving New York at 15.45 local time. Return from New York is 22.45 arriving the following day at 10.50 local time.
Delta Air Lines and Virgin Atlantic have also made a number of changes to their joint network between the US and UK to reflect their new partnership. They include a new Delta-operated four times a week Portland, Oregon to London Heathrow seasonal service from 26 May 2017, the first between the US West Coast city and London.
