Giant on the Tyne
[ May 4, 2018 // Chris ]The deep-water heavy lift vessel Aegir is carrying out a number of highly complex heavy lifting operations at the Port of Tyne’s Northumbrian Quay in North Shields. The 4,000 ton heavy lift capacity vessel operated by Netherlands based Heerema Marine Contractors will be in the river for around two weeks to move wind turbine jackets down river from Smulders Projects UK in Wallsend.
