Holyhead firms wins EU cash

[ June 29, 2012   //   ]

Conygar Investment Company has gained £2.2m-worth of EU funding for its £7m Parc Cybi logistics and distribution hub near the Irish Sea port of Holyhead in North Wales, the BBC reported on 29 June. Planning permission for office buildings and four industrial warehousing/distribution units was granted in 2010 and the Welsh Assembly Government said about 150 jobs will be created initially.

The European money will be used to building two warehouses and office space and, saidn Conygar, would complement plans to develop a truck park opposite the site.

Parc Cybi is one of the sites earmarked for development as part of Anglesey’s enterprise zone status, the reported added.
