[ June 30, 2017   //   ]

Confederation of British Industry director general Carolyn Fairbairn visited the Port of Tyne on 30 June.

Port of Tyne chief executive Andrew Moffat, who is also regional chair of CBI North East, said: “The CBI plays a crucial role in helping to create and sustain the right conditions in which business in the North East can compete and prosper. In these times of uncertainty it’s important that the CBI continues to provide a voice for the region.”

Carolyn Fairbairn said: “The Port of Tyne is one of the UK’s major ports and it was good to learn more about its future plans and how the Port is continuing to make a major impact on the economy.”
