Quality Freight Services has reduced its emissions from 245 tonnes of CO2e in 2023-24 to 197 tonnes of CO2e in 2024-25 as part of its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) drive.

Since beginning the project, the Yorkshire base freight forwarder has accelerated initiatives in carbon reduction, resource efficiency and ethical operations, reinforcing its pledge to build a more resilient and responsible future in partnership with Carbon Neutral Group.

The company has upgraded its operational efficiency, introduced digital technology and adopted low-carbon technologies.

Employees have also taken part part in sustainability training, resulting in increased awareness and participation in green initiatives company wide.

The company also installed locally sourced 81 solar panels at its Shipley head office in January 2024 which have saved 5,140kg of CO2e.

Moving digital infrastructure from on-premises to a Cloud-based solution also reduced carbon footprint and energy consumption.·

Quality Freight’s 80-strong vehicle fleet is now more than 90% hybrid or fully electric and it fully supports flexible working and working from home.

Chief executive, Duncan Winn, said: “We believe in solid actions, not just promises, we have set clear goals for both short and long term, to reduce our impact on the planet. This year’s progress reflects our passion and responsibility to future generations.”

George Curtis, chief executive of Carbon Neutral Groups, added that Quality Freight Services was a great example of meaningful climate leadership in practice, saying: “By embedding sustainability into its operations and moving decisively on carbon reduction, resource efficiency and ethical governance, the business is not only accelerating progress against its ESG goals but setting a strong example for the wider logistics sector.”
