Iraq-Jordan border reopens

The Trebil land border between Iraq and Jordan has reopened, reports the International Road Transport Union (IRU). Closed in mid-2015 for security reasons, it is the closest border to Iraq’s Western and Central regions, says the IRU, which adds that Jordan is currently a member of the TIR transit system while Iraq is due to join soon. Panama Canal welcomes largest ship

CMA CGM’s Theodore Roosevelt became the largest ship ever use the Panama Canal in late August, on its way to New York to inaugurate the enlarged Bayonne Bridge on 7 September. The newly-built vessel has a 14,414teu capacity and is 12,028ft long. [+]

Cathay to launch Hong Kong Dublin flights
