£20m for green shipping

The government is to set up a £20m fund for green innovations in the UK’s maritime industry, reports BDaily. It will support the development of prototype ships and port infrastructure, such as hydrogen-powered vessels and charging points at ports. If trials supported through the fund are successful, the aims if for the technologies to be developed commercially.
