Baxter achieves ethical business standard
[ April 30, 2026 // Chris Lewis ]Nottingham-based Baxter Freight has achieved B Corp Certification for balancing commercial success with positive social and environmental impact.
This certification places Baxter Freight among a growing community of more than 10,300 B Corp Certified businesses worldwide, and over 2,700 within the UK, meeting verified standards for social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.
Baxter aims to lead a global movement for an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy. It says that, for the logistics sector, where supply chain decisions can have far-reaching social and environmental consequences, B Corp Certification offers a practical framework for improving accountability and long-term impact.
The certification recognises a range of practices including working closely with customers to better understand and reduce supply-chain emissions through verified carbon reporting, practical mitigation strategies, and carbon insetting opportunities.
It adds that it operates fair recruitment practices with a strong emphasis on internal progression and is a Living Wage Employer.
It also partners with Hope Nottingham, a local foodbank charity, contributing practical, ongoing support to the local community through paid volunteering days and fundraising.
