DB Schenker Rail is to start regular rail services between Wroclaw, in Poland, and Barking using European-gauge wagons operating over the high speed Channel Tunnel rail link – the only route in the country able to accept such wagons.

The first train on the weekly service will depart Poland on the evening of 8 November arriving in the UK early on 11 November. A return service back to Poland will depart on the same day. The wagons will carry swapbodies, capable of carrying standard pallets two high.
