BG Freight ups feeder frequency

[ November 3, 2015   //   ]

BG Freight has meanwhile increased sailing frequency of its Irish Sea routes to and from Liverpool along with services along the Manchester Ship Canal. Services operate from Liverpool to Dublin and Belfast, and there is a new route from Dublin to Greenock.

The Manchester Ship Canal service has been extended to three sailings per week and there is also a fixed weekly return service between Liverpool and Ellesmere Port.

BG Freight Line’s chief executive, Koert Luitwieler, said the new schedule was “a huge step forward which will enable us to offer very reliable shipping solutions for our customers. The increased frequency on the canal and the introduction of Ellesmere Port will drive more and more containers from road/rail to environmentally friendly waterways.”

He added that the new services would help support the Liverpool2 port development due to open in December.

Quality Freight. Their volumes have grown year on year at their site in Ellesmere Port and in response BG Freight have launched the first ever scheduled weekly call to their site to help them keep up with demand.
