Learning to love the lorry

PD Ports is doing its bit to introduce the logistics industry to pupils as a possible career path and help head off a driver shortfall.
A fleet of trucks from Tees Valley haulage firms were on display for young people to explore at the Inspire2Learn education centre in Eston, near Redcar, as part of National Lorry Week.
Nationwide, there are more than 50 events happening throughout the UK for National Lorry Week, from September 19 to 24, which is based on the theme ‘The Next Generation’.
