Cargo-partner opens in North Macedonia

Austrian forwarder cargo-partner has opened its first office in North Macedonia, in the capital, Skopje. It currently offers regular consolidation services from Skopje to Pristina in Kosovo, Podgorica in Montenegro, Tirana in Albania and Thessaloniki in Greece, as well as between North Macedonia and Bulgaria. In connection with its logistics centres in Sofia and Belgrade, the company provides comprehensive distribution solutions with full coverage of the region. In addition, cargo-partner is currently working on establishing regular lines between North Macedonia and Turkey as well as Austria.

Chief executive Stefan Krauter, said the company has been represented in Bulgaria since 2003 and in Serbia since 2004. In 2018, the company opened its iLogistics Center in Sofia while in Belgrade it currently offers 8,000 m² of storage space.

Krauter adds: “The new office in Skopje will allow us to better leverage North Macedonia’s strategic position in the Balkans. For seafreight shipments, our clients benefit from fast access to Thessaloniki, while our dense road transport network is the ideal basis for distribution throughout Europe. Our experienced team can provide end-to-end solutions from a single source, including in-depth knowledge of customs procedures for shipments to and from the EU.”
