[ February 10, 2022   //   ]

Switzerland-based project forwarder Deugro has established a new management structure to boost interaction with customers and lead its transformation and growth ambitions.

A new executive management team consists of five members – Thomas C. Press – chairman and co-chief executive; Klaus Strahmann – co-chief executive; Simon Wasum – chief operating officer; Tim Killen – chief sales officer; and Felix Schneider – chief financial officer.

Simon Wasum  explained: “The project logistics landscape has changed extremely in the past years, and we have safely and successfully navigated these waters by being able to identify these changes, assess the risks and innovate new solutions and products. The new management structure is the next step, allowing us to respond even more specifically and individually to client requests.”

He added that Deugro would continue its investment strategy in IT systems and digitalization tools.

Tim Killen added: “The industry is being confronted with an unprecedented transformation revolving around digitalization tools, emerging markets, energy transition, supply chain disruption and challenging economic pressures. With the new structure, we are strategically ready to deal with the challenges and opportunities ahead.”

He said the forwarder would focus further on complex industrial turnkey projects in all key market verticals and continue to develop new clients, industries and services through a diversification strategy in projects and supply chain logistics.

Deugro has also appointed eight presidents responsible each business region, including for Mirko Menge for Western and Southern Europe, India and Africa and Matias Setala in Scandinavia and Eastern Europe.
