Geodis to buy German’s Trans-o-flex

French forwarder GEODIS has signed an agreement to acquire German temperature controlled express carrier Trans-o-flex. Founded in 1971, it specialises in pharmaceutical products, cosmetics, automotive and the high-tech industries and has since 2016 been owned by the Schoeller and Amberger families. Current chairman of the advisory board Christoph Schoeller and vice-chairman Peter Amberger will remain in post. It recently expanded its activity in Austria, and employs around 2,000 people across 77 hubs and local agencies throughout Germany.
