Leman joins exclusive green club
[ April 23, 2025 // Chris Lewis ]Danish-headquartered forwarder Leman has committed to set near- and long-term company-wide emission reductions in line with science-based net-zero with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) – one of only 37 logistics companies to do so.
It says that that SBTi targets are increasingly showing up in customer requirements and regulations. The move follows a year of preparation and ESG data improvements in 2024. Over the next 24 months, Leman will develop and submit its emissions targets for validation.
Science-based targets are rooted in the latest climate science. Unlike arbitrary or self-defined goals, SBTi-validated targets are externally reviewed and ensure real emissions reduction in line with the global carbon budget.
