FSEW’s new tool aims to clean up global freight
[ April 30, 2025 // Chris Lewis ]Cardiff forwarder, FSEW has introduced a Greenflow online tool to help reduce its multimodal carbon footprint and achieve corporate sustainability goals. It delivers measurable carbon savings and uses transparent reporting with detailed and actionable emission reports.
Managing director, Geoff Tomlinson, at FSEW said: “FSEW GreenFlow isn’t just about moving goods, it’s about redefining how your business contributes to a sustainable future. Using data and insights we can demonstrate how businesses can reduce Scope 3 emissions, forming a critical part of their sustainability strategy. This is a gamechanger for the industry because we’re the first general freight forwarding provider to offer this.
“Together we’re reshaping customer behaviour, collaborating with our peers, and establishing supply-chain emission transparency, while responding to market demands and maintain best in class service. The changes we are making are a strategic shift to deliver efficient, greener freight solutions and lower carbon emissions for both FSEW and our customers.”
At the end of last year FSEW became diesel free, with a combination of electric and biomethane trucks. Last year it took delivery of four new 37 tonne Volvo electric trucks, bringing its fully electric fleet to five. A further order has been placed with Mercedes-Benz Trucks UK for five eActros 600 tractor units due for delivery from May 2025.
FSEW has also gained planning permission for a Low Carbon Freight Hub in Cardiff which will be the first of its kind in the UK, it says, powered entirely by renewable energy sources.
Based at Freightliner in Wentloog, Cardiff, FSEW currently employs 90 people and provides forwarding services to clients in the UK, Europe and around the world.
