LeShuttle Freight Village in Calais welcomed its one millionth visitor on 9 July, five years after its opening.

Driver Enus Ionut was presented with a certificate welcomed by the LeShuttle Freight team.

He said that he “always made sure to stop off at LeShuttle Freight Village”, and that his favourite things are “the security, cleanliness, and the welcoming team members” – as well as the food truck, which he loves.

LeShuttle Freight Village facilities include freshly prepared food, free hot drinks in the dedicated lounge, showers, laundry services, Wi-Fi, and a rolling calendar of live events.

The village offers over 309 spaces, a 40km perimeter fence encircling the entire French terminal, CCTV cameras, thermal detection sensors, drones, double entry gates, floodlights and regular patrols.
