A hundred miles for cleaner water
[ July 16, 2025 // Chris Lewis ]Aramex UK senior operations manager, Glen Gardaner, has completed a 100-mile cycle ride along the South Downs Way to raise money for Porridge & Pens, a UK-based charity which supports children living in poverty in Ghana.
Glen has broken his target of £1,000, having raised £1,382, which he has pledged to raise for the charity’s Brightlingsea School project in Ghana. Aramex UK has pledged to double this amount.
The money will go towards helping fund a deeper well and build a bridge so Ghanaian children at the school are able to consistently access safe, clean water year-round.
Glen’s efforts are part of a long-standing philanthropic partnership between Aramex UK and customer Childrensalon, a luxury childrenswear retailer which together have raised over £1 million for international causes and continue to send regular shipments of donations and supplies worldwide.
