MSC extends Tractor Boys’ deal
[ August 20, 2025 // Chris Lewis ]Shipping line MSC UK has extended its partnership with Ipswich Town Football Club becoming back-of-shirt sponsor for the men’s, women’s and academy teams and expanding its existing training and bench wear sponsorship to include the women’s team.
MSC UK has sponsored the Tractor Boys’ men’s training and bench wear and supported the Girls’ Academy Elite Training Centre since 2022 and the new agreement extends the partnership to June 2028.
MSC UK managing director Dan Everitt, commented: “We’ve already been on an incredible journey together, from League One to the Premier League, and now we’re reaffirming that commitment by extending and enhancing our partnership through to 2028. We’re proud to be supporting the hugely talented Women’s team and taking on the back-of-shirt sponsorship across all squads.
“Our relationship with ITFC has always been built on the intention of longevity. It’s a club that is aligned to our values and shares the same passion for our community.”
MSC UK is one of Suffolk’s largest employers, with more than 750 staff based at its Ipswich head office.
Chairman of Ipswich Town Football Club, Mark Ashton, commented: “MSC UK have been a fantastic supporter of the football club during the last three years and we’re proud to now be wearing their logo on our match kits. Along with Halo and Ed Sheeran’s Tingly Ted’s brand, the addition of MSC means we have three logos representing the very best of Suffolk on our shirts when we step out onto the pitch.”
Just a couple of random thoughts from FBJ’s editor for future vessel namings. The MSC Carabao – that has quite a nice ring to it. Or the MSC Bromley, perhaps?
