DHL opens Midlands eCommerce hub

DHL eCommerce has opened a Midlands facility in Minworth, Birmingham. The refurbished 9,700sq m site will increase handling capacity by 50% and service over 80 core routes with a further 30 during peak season. It forms part of DHL eCommerce’s €560m investment in the UK announced in 2022 and follows the opening of its new 25,000 m2 parcel hub in Coventry earlier this year. Operating solely on electricity, the depot has 13 electric vehicle charging points and an integrated rainwater harvesting system.
