Gebrüder Weiss welcomes Class of 2025

[ September 2, 2025   //   ]

Gebrüder Weiss welcomed 100 new logistics apprentices in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland on 2 September. An additional 14 apprentices had already joined the company in the first half of 2025.

The Austrian-headquartered forwarder has invested in vocational training for over 80 years, which it sees as an important factor to address the shortage of skilled labour. Its goal is to retain young talent after they complete their apprenticeships and further develop them into qualified specialists and future leaders and the many success stories at Gebrüder Weiss demonstrate that this approach works.

Currently, the logistics company employs 307 apprentices across 40 locations in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, about 35% of whom are women. A further 32 young people are training with the company in Hungary, Serbia and Bulgaria.

Although the apprenticeship year has already started and most positions have been filled, Gebrüder Weiss may still open additional opportunities later this year.
