Fluent Cargo promises shipping info made easy
[ September 23, 2025 // Chris Lewis ]Shipping information specialist Fluent Cargo has launched Ask Fluent, an AI-powered search capability that allows natural language queries against live logistics and transport data. It says that unlike traditional chatbots that rely on static information, Ask Fluent provides real-time access to all curated data from its platform including shipping schedules, routing options, container tracking, and market intelligence through a conversational interface.
It says that existing AI tools are often built on static data that is out of date and lacks real-time context essential for cargo operations.
Customers can ask questions such as: ‘What’s the best way to get two containers from Japan to the US west coast?” and receive specific routing recommendations, such as the most efficient route through Yokohama to the Port of Los Angeles, followed by schedule availability and departure times. Direct and indirect shipment schedules are provided. The system also considers recent port calls to gauge whether services are on schedule.
Ask Fluent says it has been standardising and cleaning up data over the past five years and its strong data foundation has made the transition to AI-powered capabilities straightforward.
