Ceva offers new approach to carbon-cutting

CEVA Logistics is offering a Mass Balance solution in Europe to help decarbonize road transport It says it ensures that customers can access the environmental benefits of low carbon energy, even in regions where the supporting infrastructure is not yet fully developed. By decoupling the physical consumption of low carbon energy by CEVA’s trucks from the allocation of environmental benefits, the Mass Balance model—supported by a fully traceable and audited process—enables customers to meet their carbon reduction targets. It is available for all CEVA-operated routes in Europe, and provides three levels of greenhouse gas emission reduction: -25%, -50%, -80%, compared to a B7 diesel benchmark.
