Priority Freight helps to deliver 13,000 trees to the Midlands

[ December 5, 2025   //   ]

Urgent delivery firm Priority Freight has joined Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), the National Forest and logistics partners to start the Unity Wood project to plant over 13,000 native trees planted on an eight-hectare site.

The large-scale reforestation initiative brings together more than 17 logistics companies working in partnership with JLR and the National Forest to create a long-term environmental legacy in the Midlands.

Located near the Mercia Park logistics hub, Unity Wood will feature woodland glades, walking paths, a wetland area and new access routes for local people. It marks a new chapter in the National Forest’s 30-year transformation of the Midlands landscape, with planting to continue through to March 2026.

Priority Freight was one of the first partners to join the initiative, which began when JLR’s Freight Operations team invited logistics providers to contribute to the creation of a new woodland. The project has since raised over £85,000 in funding.
