Dachser to build food hub in South-West Germany

Dachser is creating a new location for food logistics in southwest Germany by expanding its existing logistics centre for industrial and consumer goods in the Breisgau industrial park near Freiburg. The new transit terminal, which will be cooled to 2 to 7 degrees Celsius is scheduled to go into operation in June 2026. Dachser held a topping-out ceremony on 5 December.

A new refrigerated hall will offer 3,200sq m for food handling with  32 truck gates. At the same time, more space is being created for the handling of industrial goods.

Dachser’s Food Logistics business line offers industry-specific logistics solutions for chilled and non-chilled food.
