Change at the top for PML Seafrigo
[ December 18, 2025 // Chris Lewis ]PML Seafrigo UK & Ireland chief executive Mike Parr is to leave the business on 6 January and will be replaced by Sean Smith.
Parr founded PML (Perishable Movements Ltd) in 2003 and the business was acquired by French-owned Seafrigo in July 2023, with Parr retained as a director, being appointed as chief executive of PML Seafrigo UK and Ireland in August 2024.
Sean Smith (pictured, below) has an extensive background in air, ocean and road logistics.

We are grateful for Mike’s substantial contribution to both Seafrigo and the temperature-controlled logistics category in general.

Smith said: “I was attracted to the significant potential that exists within PML Seafrigo and excited by the prospect of leading the company into the next chapter of its progression. My job will be to harness these – and other – key values and work with the team to establish a new blueprint for success in line with the vision shared by myself and Seafrigo Group.”
Smith will oversee a team of 115 permanent staff and will be based at PML Seafrigo’s Heathrow and Kent sites.
