Brussels launches port and maritime strategies

The European Commission has adopted EU Industrial Maritime and Ports Strategies. It aims to advance shipbuilding, offshore wind support vessels, underwater drones, and port equipment, as well as the renewal and decarbonisation of the shipping fleet and to enhance skills, training and employment in the maritime sector. The Commission will also explore ways to further strengthen maritime security to prevent drug trafficking, address emerging threats and enhance EU supply chain security.
