ICTSI opens South Luzon terminal

International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI) has officially opened South Luzon Container Terminal (SLCT), the Philippines’ second largest terminal.

The US$800 million facility, 110km south of Manila, within the Bauan International Port in Batangas, will support industrial and manufacturing activities including energy‑related and industrial projects in the region

The launch was led by Transportation Acting Secretary Giovanni Z. Lopez, and Customs Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno, government officials and former Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama.

SLCT will ultimately have an 800‑meter quay, 38 hectares of yard, and an 18‑meter berth depth, and a terminal capacity that of over 2 million TEU annually.
