Record year for DP World Antwerp
[ March 16, 2026 // Chris Lewis ]DP World Antwerp Gateway has achieved its highest annual container volume, handling 2,470,700 TEU in 2025, up 8.6% compared to the previous year.
December alone saw 224,700 TEU handled at the terminal, 14% more than the same month last year and the second-highest month on record, surpassed only by March 2025’s record 233,000 TEU.
The terminal operates 15 quay cranes, 63 straddle carriers, 23 automated stacking cranes (ASCs) modules, expanding to 27 by 2026 on three large berths and two feeder/barge berths, capable of handling the world’s largest vessels
An expansion programme including measures to increase stacking density will boost yard capacity by 30% from this year.
