Arvato thinks big with Canadian buy
[ March 16, 2026 // Chris Lewis ]German-owned third party logistics company Arvato has entered the Canadian market with the acquisition of Think Logistics.
By combining Think Logistics’ Canadian operations with its established US footprint, Arvato says it has strengthened its ability to deliver consistent, cross-border execution across North America.
Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, Think Logistics serves national and international clients in e-commerce, retail, fashion, and high-tech.
Arvato chief executive Frank Schirrmeister (pictured, below), said: “Entering the Canadian market is not simply geographic expansion. It is a strategic move to integrate Canada into our platform. Think Logistics combines technology, operational strength and entrepreneurial mindset. Together, we are creating a seamless cross-border operating model that enables global brands to scale faster, reduce complexity and increase resilience across the US and Canada.”

Arvato says Think’s technology capabilities and flexible operating model complement its own global network and industry-specific supply chain solutions. The combined platform enables aligned inventory positioning, coordinated distribution, and consistent service standards across borders.
It adds that Canada is a key gateway market for international brands seeking reliable access to North American consumers and efficient cross-border fulfilment structures.
