New name for sea-rail service
[ April 15, 2026 // Chris Lewis ]PortRail Group is the new name in UK bulk material handling and logistics, following the acquisition of rail freight specialists RFS Works by JST Ports & Logistics last year.
The merged business handles over 15 million tonnes of commodities like aggregates, biomass, timber and steel every year.
The expanded firm enables operators to switch between ships, trains and trucks at more than 200 loading points around the UK and Ireland, optimising freight paths and minimising road haulage.
Chief executive Richard Jennings, said: ““This marks the beginning of a bold new chapter, enabling us to combine decades of expertise in innovative handling and logistics solutions to support sustainable economic growth.”
