Netherlands to introduce truck tolls

The Netherlands will introduce distance-based truck tolls from 1 July, reports CILT. They will apply to local and foreign-registered vehicles in categories N2 and N3 which must have a suitable onboard unit and a valid contract with a service provider. The truck toll will apply to nearly all highways, and some provincial and municipal roads. The Eurovignette for the Netherlands will be abolished once the toll is introduce ed except for Sweden and Luxembourg.
