CMA CGM to expand Vietnam terminal
[ April 21, 2026 // Chris Lewis ]CMA CGM has started work to expand the Gemalink container terminal in Cai Mep port in south Vietnam, in which the Group holds a 25% stake, alongside its long-standing partner, Gemadept. It will increase capacity from 1.7 million to 3 million TEs, with full completion expected in 2027. The work includes a 450m extension of the existing, expansion of the container yard from 32 to 44 hectares and five additional ship-to-shore , bringing the total to 13.
