CargoBeamer takes charge in Kaldenkirchen

CargoBeamer has taken over terminal operations at Kaldenkirchen, Germany and is currently expanding the site. Operational responsibility was transferred from the previous operator to CargoBeamer in April, meaning all trains serving Kaldenkirchen will henceforth be handled by the operator directly. Construction works for the installation of the CargoBeamer handling technology are progressing on schedule, with the first of two expansion phases set to go live by early 2027, doubling the terminal’s capacity to 140,000 units a year at that stage, with the final full expansion to 200,000 units a year, ultimately delivering more than three times original capacity.
