DFDS to buy Jersey ferry from Stena Line

DFDS has acquired passenger and freight ferry Stena Vinga from Stena Line, which it is currently chartering for its Jersey service. 

She operates between Jersey and UK and France and has a freight capacity of 1500 lane meters, along with 200 cars and up to 400 passengers. 

She will be reflagged under the UK flag. DFDS plan to begin recruitment across all ranks and expects to create 70 new positions including cadets and apprentices. 

Stena Vinga will be renamed to fit with DFDS’ existing fleet.
