Europa gains eight-figure funding boost

Europa Worldwide Group has gained an eight-figure funding package from HSBC UK. It says the investment will support expansion of its four core areas – Europa Road, Europa Air and Sea, Europa Warehouse and Frictionless Trade Services – including strengthening its European road network, expanding international air and sea freight services, enhancing customs capabilities and UK warehousing, technology and people.

HSBC UK’s international banking capabilities will help drive efficiency across the Group’s portfolio which includes sites in Belgium, the Netherlands, China, Hong Kong, India and the UAE.

The Group anticipates a 10% increase in turnover in two years as a result of the funding.

Headquartered in Kent, Europa Worldwide Group is one of the UK’s largest independent logistics operators.

Chief finance officer, Rob Jones described the investment as “a pivotal moment for Europa Worldwide Group. With global supply chains evolving at pace, HSBC UK’s funding gives us the firepower to further strengthen our network, enhance our capabilities and remain a strong and reliable logistics partner for businesses trading globally and within the UK.”
