Swire Shipping opens Timor-Leste office

Swire Shipping has opened a branch office in Dili, capital of Timor-Leste, a south-east island nation that lies about 500km north of Australia. It will be led by Darry Tan, who has spent the past two years in Timor-Leste working closely with Swire Shipping’s agency partner, CEVA Logistics. Swire Shipping will recruit a number of personnel who will transition from CEVA Logistics to the new office. Timor-Leste became an independent nation in 2002 and joined the ASEAN economic area in October 2025. Swire Shipping provides direct connections between the island nation and Singapore every 10 days.
