Maersk opens Brazil and Boston hubs

Maersk has opened a distribution centre in Suapa, Northeastern Brazil.Located in Cabo de Santo Agostinho, 20km from the Port of Suape and Recife International Airport, it can handle cargo ranging from components to oversized project cargo and large home appliances. It also offers waste segregation and recycling, LED lighting throughout and fully electric material handling equipment.

Maersk is to open a $100 million Fulfilment Hub in the New Boston area of Massachusetts in August. The 617,000sq ft facility will support a single major e-commerce customer and is expected to process up to 330,000 units per day at peak capacity.
