WEC Lines centres south Spanish service on Setúbal

WEC Lines is enhancing its ISS Service, now renamed ISS-PT, between South Spain and Northwest Europe. From 10 September, the weekly short sea will operate through a transshipment hub in Setúbal, Portugal. It connects the Spanish ports of Valencia, Alicante, Cartagena, Almería, Málaga, Gibraltar, Huelva and Cádiz, together with Nador in Morocco, to Setúbal and Sines in Portugal. Via Setúbal, it connects to WEC Lines services serving Thamesport, Liverpool, Dublin, Montoir, Antwerp, Moerdijk, Rotterdam and Hamburg.

The service is operated by two dedicated 868TEU vessels in a 14-day rotation, and equipment available includes 45ft high cube boxes and 40ft and 45ft reefer containers for frozen and perishable cargo.
