Cargo-partner cuts the carbon

Nippon Express group’s Cargo-partner forwarding arm says its Sustainable Marine Fuel (SMF) programme achieved CO₂e reductions of 290.58 tonnes in the first quarter and 520.42 tonnes in the second quarter of 2026 or 811 tonnes for the first half of the year. SMF enables customers to reduce emissions associated with their ocean freight shipments by using Hapag-Lloyd’s Ship Gree” solution by using waste- and residue-based biofuel in its fleet.
