Geodis to buy Deret operations

Geodis is to acquire part of the transport and logistic activities of French logistics provider Deret’s Group, subject to employee consultation and standard regulatory conditions. The deal includes Deret Logistique and Deret Transporteur, as well as their subsidiaries Sogipac, Logtex, and Deret Services Numériques, along with part of the logistics real estate assets of Deret SAS. The companies comprise 13 transport agencies and 28 logistics sites, employing 2,400 people. The acquisition will also expand Geodis’ warehouse network in France and strengthen its position in the luxury, cosmetics and pharmaceutical sectors, and consolidate its footprint in the Orléans region.
