Willie Dwyer received the inaugural Dublin Port Local Community Hero Award from President of Sinn Féin Mary Lou McDonald TD, and Edel Currie, Community Engagement Manager at Dublin Port.

The award recognises Willie’s significant contribution to the East Wall community through his longstanding involvement in St. Mary’s Youth Club and St. Joseph’s CYFC, as well as his role as Chairman of the Sean O’Casey Community Centre.

The event marked 25 years of the Dublin Port scholarship programme.
