Prestwick in talks for Nanjing route

Glasgow Prestwick Airport says it is in talks to establish a new cargo route with Nanjing Lukou International Airport, China, next year. The plans were discussed during a meeting in Nanjing between the airport’s chief executive, Jules Matteoni, regional director, Colin Dai, vice governor of the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province, Ma Shiguang and local officials. The Provincial Government confirmed its backing for the new route.

Discussions will now continue on the commercial and operational requirements for the proposed service, with further details on the operator and launch schedule to be announced in the coming months.
