ABP cuts back Immingham ambitions

[ April 6, 2022   //   ]

Associated British Ports has scaled back its plans for the Immingham Eastern Roll-on Roll-off Terminal following a public consultation earlier this year.

As a result of the responses and representations received, together with the commissioned navigation simulation, ABP has reduced the number of berths from four to three by removing the berth nearest to the shore from the scheme, which in turn has reduced the size of the required dredged berth pocket. The removal of one berth also cuts vehicular throughput, allowing the Eastern Trailer Park Area to be cut.
