ABP in the running to boost charities

[ January 24, 2022   //   ]

Associated British Ports (ABP) is sponsoring nine charity running events in 2022 close to five of its port locations: Cleethorpes (near Grimsby), Southampton, Barry Island, Newport, and Cardiff. They include two marathons, three half marathons, three 10K runs and one 5K run.

ABP’s sponsorship of annual running events attracts tens of thousands of runners to take part, raising money for a multitude of charities.

Outdoor running has increased in popularity during the pandemic, and general entries for the first event of 2022, the Cardiff Half Marathon in March, have sold out. Entries are open to ABP Southampton’s running event on 24 April, ABP Barry Island’s 10K on 7 August, and the Newport Wales marathon and 10K on 23 October. Entries for the Humber events will open soon.
