ABP lends its weight across the water

[ April 25, 2017   //   ]

ABP’s five South Wales ports are offering bespoke logistics solutions for suppliers to the Hinkley Point C nuclear power station project, just across the Bristol Channel in Somerset.
The port of Barry (pictured) is the closest commercial port to the site and ABP can also offer services from Cardiff, Newport, Port Talbot, and Swansea. The construction project is expected to generate large volumes of traffic over the next ten years to the site, which has poor road and rail links. ABP South Wales has significant experience in handling heavy lift and project cargoes, multimodal connections, deep sea access, bespoke warehousing and can transfer cargo from deep-sea ocean-going vessels to smaller ships and barges capable of accessing and unloading at the Hinkley Point C Jetty/Combwich Wharf.
