Air Algérie to fly Manchester/Algiers

Air Algérie is to launch a twice-weekly Boeing 737 service from Manchester to the Algerian capital Algiers on 14 June, the first ever direct flight from the northern gateway to the North African country. Manchester will also become the only UK airport outside of London with a direct link to Algiers. Flights will operate on Tuesdays and Sundays and it is understood that they will carry a limited amount of cargo. Connections from Algiers include Johannesburg in South Africa, Abuja in Nigeria and Dakar and Douala in Senegal.
